We made it to Washington for the Barringer Family Reunion. The main attractions are sitting around and telling jokes (Bernie takes the cake for the dumbest one according to his sisters) and hiking.
We picked blueberries for the trip. Some just got into it more that others.
A few weeks ago we hosted a mystery dinner with some friends. It was a lot of fun, and we got to see what good liars they all were. Shame on you!
Even though it was in the 80’s, we still had them dress up in hats and winter apparel.
The dead guy on our porch got some good scares, but he sure wasn’t the life of the party.

You would think that a grocery store pizza crust would be simple enough. Nope, Andrew wanted to improve upon it.

This past weekend we spent a couple days up north with family. While walking around Nisswa we met a member of First Baptist who serves as a police officer.
He gave stickers to everyone, and then took care of some unfinished business with Nate.

Awhile ago we had the privilege to eat with a family who attends our church, the Londeens. During the summer they travel around and participate in barbecue competitions. Our duty was to taste what they made. We were valiant and really suffered through the amazing pork, chicken, and beef dishes. It’s a sacrifice.

Last week Bernie, Dawson and Sterling went fishing up on Lake of the Woods. Here are some of the pictures from the trip.

Sterling has been busy figuring out how to build welders from microwaves. He will probably be designing the next electric car.
We headed up north around Memorial Day a few weeks ago and had some time to enjoy the outdoors. Crystal, Amanda and Katrina hung out in the tent, it was a little tight ones they got their sleeping bags out, but they managed 🙂
It is a little different trying to fall asleep in the northwoods without the traffic of 169 to lull you to sleep. I have to have a fan going or something!
The last stage was to frame in the opening and trim it out, then put extra shelves up between the cabinets. After too many trips to Home Depot, I was able to finish this off. It was possible because Tim sent down his tools for us to use. That was a huge help!
The last step is to paint the trim, cabinets, living room, and kitchen. We will be taking down numbers of anyone who wants to help on that one!
