Day #5 In the mirror everything looks…

pretty much how it is. If what is in the mirror is pretty ugly, it isn’t the mirror’s fault. You can’t fix a reflection, only the object making the reflection. How is the reflection of your life?

James 1:23-25 “For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.

Day #4 The Dark…

John 3:19 states “And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their deeds were evil.”
Last night I felt the physical side of a spiritual problem. The world rejected the light of Christ so they might wander in spiritual darkness and their spiritual darkness is manifested in physical darkness where sin is often committed. My part in the equation was to guard against fallen humanity sinning by stealing from our church.

This is me at 3 am. I was on “church patrol” from 3-5 am, making sure no one stole the metal doors or other scrap metal due to the demolition project.

This is the church at 3 am. I fulfilled my post, and nothing was stolen. One small step for the good guys.

On the edge of the world

We hiked up to the mountain lake, Laguna Churup. The climb took us to about 14,750 ft about sea level.

It was an interesting experience to try to breathe! The mountain range we were in is the second highest in the world, right after the Himalayans.

Right above Laguna Churup was a smaller lake. It was over 15,000 feet. I think I would have enjoyed the experience more if my heart would not have been pounding so hard!

The final picture is for those of you who thought I was lying when I said I made it that high.
