Day #7 Time to think…

might be what is keeping us from an intimate relationship with our Heavenly Father. David was a shepherd and a man after God’s own heart. I doubt the majority of the Psalms were written while he was watching ESPN.

Here is Maria, a Huaraz shepherd. This is what she does all day long. No wonder David had time to think.

Day #6 Sometimes the greatest gifts

that God gives us are the simple recognitions of what has been there all along. The warmth of a loving touch, the breathtaking display of a sunset, our eyesight…

James 1:1-176 “Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights [Mal. 3:6] with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.”

The Last Sunday

We had our last service in the Musa Baptist Church building. They are currently tearing down the old building, and will begin to rebuild in the next few weeks.

Pray that the believers will remain faithful and continue to grow during this time. A new building with spiritually stale believers is not worth it.

Chuhascaria

The night Ben left, we all went out to a typical Brazilian restaurant called a Chuhascaria. The gist of it is, you sit at your table and waiters bring out skewers of meat and you eat until you can’t eat any more.

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I should have skipped lunch to pack alittle more in!
