We visited a family from Pisco, where the most damage from the earthquake took place. On the one month anniversary we went back, and most are still living in tents. The death toll is 500-600 people (most of the rubble has not been cleared yet)

Using the restroom didn’t involve alot of rest! The door was a thin piece of plywood that you propped against the opening. The excitement came when it was the least bit windy.

This is how it all started. We had to put in the footings for the future parsonage. The problem was that there used to be a house on the same property, which means we had to dig out all the old ones – by hand.
