One of the ministries that we have through Liberty Baptist is the Castle Ridge service. Each month a group of us go over and minister to the residents there. Some are very active while others are not. It is a good opportunity to exhibit the love of Christ! God was able to work on my life through a similar ministry under Pastor Gary Peterson in Brainerd while I was growing up. Most of my beginning opportunities to preach came from this and it was a great experience. I thank God for men like Gary who have pushed me on in the ministry to love others.

Some of the youth from Liberty helped out at Camp Compassion. This is a camp sponsored by Gospel Light Baptist Church and is intended for inner-city kids from North Minneapolis. We spent Tuesday-Thursday out near Montevideo, MN with kids ranging in age from 8-13 years old. Spending time with these kids was an investment in eternity. Several of them made professions of faith which we praise God for. We are excited to see how God is able to use missionary Paul Taylor and those at his church.

We had Soccer Camp at Liberty Baptist this past week. On Monday it rained, but we had great weather the rest of the week.

We had over 70 kids each day which was a great number. The teens and college students did a great job with coaching and keeping the kids in line. We also had a great teaching staff and Snack Crew!

Soccer Camp has been a great way to minister to the community and share God’s Word with others. We pray that some of the families who participated this year will also benefit from the other ministries here at Liberty.
