We made a toy box out of pallet wood for some friends a couple week ago. I use the word “we” because you can see I had a little helper who wanted to be part of everything.

Movie Night
Once a month we have a movie night with our Conversational English group. This month it was hosted at our place and we had caramel apples. Tough to keep everyone under control.
Valentine’s Day Cookies
For some Daddy Daughter time, Jon and I baked cookies with Tanzen and Alina to hand out. Many disasters were narrowly averted, and the cookies would have been quite “interesting” had not the girls kept us on the right track.

A Baby Shower in Spain
I received a text on Thursday from a friend which said, “El sábado por la tarde hacemos un baby shower. Estais invitados los tres.”
Saturday afternoon we are having a baby shower. You three are invited.
The fact that he used English words tells me how natural this is for Spanish culture.
We had a great time and were able to meet many new people. It was an honor to be invited to something like this and be brought along side other family and friends.
The only downside was that Tanzen broke their clothes hanger because she thought they were monkey bars. You can’t win them all…
