Christmas Letter – In February!

It has come to my attention that many of the people to whom we sent our Christmas letter never actually received it. So I am posting it here.

If you did not receive it, and would like to receive it and other family updates, send me your email address and I will add you to our list.

Merry Christmas!

At this time of year we regularly get caught up in the planning for the next. However, we would like to take a few minutes to reflect on 2013 and thank our Lord Jesus Christ for all the blessings he has given.

Christmas is the season for giving, not because it helps businesses to prosper, but because that is the precedent set on the first Christmas. “This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him” (1 John 4:9). God loved. So God gave. So we find life.

This life was made very real to us this past year. Not merely because we welcomed a new one (Tanzen), or nearly lost one (Crystal), but because we experienced the peace of having an eternal one (in Christ).

We pray that you would experience this Christ-given life this year.

Blessings

  • In March we welcomed our daughter Tanzen Elena into this world.
  • God graciously provided protection and strength through Crystal’s stroke following Tanzen’s birth.
  • We were able to participate in a year full of growth and ministry at Liberty Baptist.
  • In September we visited friends for a survey trip to Salamanca, Spain.
  • Crystal was able to stop her medication prescribed after the stroke.
  • This December marks the gift of 7 years of marriage.
