I am energized by\u00a0sitting down and discussing two opposing viewpoints. Over the past few months I have been compiling a list of questions\u00a0that have arisen during conversations with various friends here in Spain.\u00a0Some of those\u00a0are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What if Jesus is just a helpful liar, giving people a false hope so they live better?<\/li>\n<li>Why do bad things happen to good people?<\/li>\n<li>What if religion is just a filler for the one human constant &#8211; uncertainty?<\/li>\n<li>Didn\u2019t God just force Judas to betray Jesus?<\/li>\n<li>Should humans have a responsibility in protecting animals from extinction?<\/li>\n<li>If God knew that the first people were going to sin, why did he give them a choice<\/li>\n<li>If God is clearly known through creation, why don&#8217;t people realize it?<\/li>\n<li>What is the difference between an animal and a human?<\/li>\n<li>And many more<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-6698\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/scquest.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/107.jpg?resize=298%2C300\" alt=\"107\" width=\"298\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/scquest.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/107.jpg?resize=298%2C300 298w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/scquest.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/107.jpg?resize=150%2C150 150w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/scquest.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/107.jpg?resize=768%2C774 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/scquest.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/107.jpg?resize=1016%2C1024 1016w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/scquest.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/107.jpg?resize=595%2C600 595w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/scquest.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/107.jpg?w=1024 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 298px) 100vw, 298px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>What I would like to do is periodically take\u00a0some time to write out my response to the question as I would probably say it in the discussion. I am tagging this as <strong>&#8220;WikiTheology&#8221;<\/strong> because I am not going to be writing research papers, but giving a popular level response.\u00a0That means no footnotes (or few!),\u00a0no research beyond what I have already done, and more in a conversational tone.<\/p>\n<p>I will also be trying to post them in Spanish.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday I will be giving my WikiTheology answer to:\u00a0<em>Why did God create man as he did and not differently?<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One of the things that I love about living in a different culture is the exposure to new friends and different ideas.
